last weekend.

'75 scandal rocked the country
The scandal created by the Mumias Sugar-All Stars Premier League match
outcome is reminiscent of a similar controversy which surrounded the result of the
1975 Kenya National League clash between Abaluhya (now AFC Leopards) and
Luo Union (now Re-Union).

This is one Bill that ought to be vetoed If the Parliamentary Pensions (Amendment) Bill passed this week is signed into law,
MPs who have served for just one term and will have reached 40 will be entitled to
a pension calculated at 15 per cent of their gross pay. It so happens that MPs do not contribute to a pension scheme which means
Kenyans will have to foot the bill.
