Two opposition leaders in Machakos District yesterday praised Mutito MP Muthusi Kitonga for turning down Kanu's attempt to woo him to defect.

Cllr Davis Musau and Yatta SDP chairman Denis Katia said Mr Kitonga's firm stand proved his political maturity.

The leaders urged other legislators in the region to emulate his example and "refuse to fall prey to Kanu's machinations".
