    THE UGANDA police has come under heavy criticism for using live bullets to disperse a peaceful demonstration on Saturday by supporters of the opposition, Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC). A journalism student was shot dead and other people injured when police moved in to stop a UPC rally from taking place.
