By NATION Correspondent

Scores of Bohra community members yesterday flocked the Jomo Kenyatta International airport to give to their spiritual leader and emotional send-off.

Entire families trooped to the airport to listen to His Holiness Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin as he gave a parting speech from a special dias at the airport.

The 90-year-old spiritual leader had been in the country since last Friday. Also to see him off was Nairobi Deputy Mayor Joe Aketch.

While in the country, the 90-year-old spiritual leader met thousands of the faithful at the Bohra Community Centre in Lang'ata at a colourful ceremony and also

Dr Burhanuddin also called on President Moi at State House, Nairobi.

The community boasts some one million faithful worldwide with about 9,000 faithful in Kenya. The 90-year-old spiritual leader, who has reigned for 28 years, was last in Kenya some three years ago.
