'Nation' fetes the less fortunate

By NATION Reporter

Nation Media Group took the cheer and joy of the Christmas holiday to homes for needy children with food and drink donations worth about Sh300,000.

The group's representatives distributed maize-meal, juices, rice, sugar and biscuits to Mama Ngina Children's Home in Nairobi South `C', Mama Fatuma Goodwill Children's Home at Eastleigh and SOS Children's Village at Buru Buru.

Nation Newspapers managing director Joseph Adongo, accompanied by group managing editor Wangethi Mwangi, said the donations were a demonstration of the company's concern for the less fortunate in the society.

At Mama Fatuma, its director Mr Al-Amin Kimathi appealed for aid to rehabilitate the home.

The homes, and others, also received Christmas donations from the Commissioner of Police, presented on his behalf by Chief Inspector Timothy Mukati from Police Headquarters, and Coca Cola, which was represented by sales representative Fridah M. Nzou.
