Anatomy of a cancer
Corruption is still very much alive in our midst. Where it pervades there
is injustice, murder, adultery, grumbling, gambling and general social
disorder. Corruption is like a cancer that eats deeply into the social
fabric.
World corruption is reaching alarming proportions and Kenya is no exception.
The problem arises when it is accepted as normal. Nothing evil can become
good by being accepted. We should not, therefore, glorify corruption.
It happens when one person feels he is better than another and it dehumanises.
The best way to eradicate corruption is for everyone to be honest and
sincere. We must refuse to give or take bribes. We should speak openly
against it.
George O. Osawa,
Kibigori.
